Meet the tutors!
Oliver Costar
North Ayrshire Council
Oliver Costar has been teaching cello for North Ayrshire Council for the past 5 years. He is also a senior tutor for Junior Royal Conservatoire of Scotland's Music centre in Stirling along with a lower strings tutor for Beatroute Arts.
Iain McHugh
Renfrewshire Council
Iain McHugh has been teaching cello and piano for the last 8 years, starting his current post with Renfrewshire Council during the locked-down chaos of 2020. He has worked extensively with many composers across Scotland and is currently the cellist for the Amina Khayyam Dance Company.
Jackie Baxter
Edinburgh Council
Jackie studied at the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland with Robert Irvine and now teaches the Cello for Edinburgh Council as well as performing freelance.
In her spare time she enjoys hiking and camping, as well as baking when the weather is bad.
